Do we protect the locks at the entrances?

When I left home or office I first saw door lock in the two thousandth, it seems the year. The castle was the most common and locked with a key. And in the doorway of my living relatives, the closest, which were found only in this city. And now that it was very hard to get. The main drawback of such locks (it is almost impossible to go inside, even if you are waiting, but the key is you do not) understand almost everything and almost immediately, especially when you consider that mobile then there were no means for everyone. Such locks at the entrances - the most reliable, in my opinion. However ... there is one way to leave a wide open entrance open for some time - paste ad "Do not lock your door! We are waiting for an ambulance! ". Why would you, in fact, begin to figure out your neighbors entire door, they wait for an ambulance or not?
Fairly quickly, these locks have given way to another, with the code key: you know, these locks with buttons, buttons for digits 0 to 9, if you do not know a three-or four-digit code to open a door easily. Theoretically. And as is done in practice, I found out when she got on his work and set a stack of forms to fill their tenants homes on concrete streets. And there at all entrances were those same locks.

The work was very important, so I quickly learned to guess the code, calculating it on the "frayed buttons. So to protect such locks can only change when the regular code, and examples of this I have not met.
Then in my town there intercoms. It would seem that the castle is simply no more reliable: if you call someone an unfamiliar, then you just do not open the door. That's it! Only here on my block is intercom, and written above the entrance room apartments, located behind the door. And these numbers - "37-72". You are in what apartment please call if you want to go to, say, scatter leaflets in the boxes? Correctly, in 72 th. It was in this apartment I live.
And what interesting conversations I am in the morning on the intercom:
- Hello! Open the door, please!
- Who are you?
- I have phone bills brought - oh, well, just me and without being asked for the phone crying time.
- Well, call somebody from the first floor, they are much easier to go out, look through the peephole and see this.
- Why? It's me!
- And what to call the top-flat?
- This is a newspaper, open the door!
- We do not write.
- It's free!
- We do not need.
- Another must!
- Here they are let and open.
- Hello, and we have to Yegor!
- Here Yegor not live.
- And we know it.
- Then why call?
- And it will not open!
- And I do with it?
- Well ...
And it's not all.
And at first, unaccustomed to, I opened the door to all in general. Then some time to wean her hand from the usual press of a button. That is, even if I decide not to open, the hand still reflexively opens the door. And now ... even now I sometimes open the doors to people who had never seen, but to put inside them is essential. But that's not all - even if the door will not open I am, it will someone else from the remaining 35 apartments. Otherwise, I have long ceased to find complimentary newspapers in his drawer.
But even if we set aside all these tricks, how often do you close the front door before the nose of the person walking behind you? Even if a woman with bags or little old grandmother - God's dandelion? And other tenants porch?
However, quite useless, such locks, I still can not name. And the most striking example of such use - a friend of mine. She was a little lucky: her elegant decorated four-room apartment in the house with cheap pubs. As it happened - it's a different story. But now her porch, alas, this pub - the closest. Prior to installing the simple smell in the entrance of the castle was ... well, you know, right? And now, on such an unpleasant neighborhood at the entrance did not like.
